Levan Jikuri, detained in connection with the June 20 case, released on bail

Levan Jikuri, one of the persons detained in connection with the June 20 case, has been released on bail of GEL 2,000.

Levan Jikuri partly pleaded guilty at today"s trial. In particular, he said that he was at the rally and was using a shield, though he denied involvement in group violence.

The motion for bail was filed by Levan Jikuri’s lawyer, Aleksandre Zubiashvili. The prosecution also agreed with the motion, as prosecutor Vazha Todua clarified that the accused had pleaded guilty, recognized the evidence, and in addition, according to the forensic psychiatric examination, Levan Jikuri had some health problems.
