Silk Road Forum - 2000 delegates arrived in Georgia to attend the event

About 2000 delegates from more than 60 countries arrived in Georgia to attend Silk Road Forum.

Georgia – a gateway between Europe and Asia. The Government is talking to potential partners in this regard about the country’s transit capabilities.

“There is an extraordinary relationship between Italy and Georgia. We discussed the issue of deepening trade. Infrastructure is an important issue. That’s why we need to invest more in its development”, - said Italian Deputy Foreign Minister Ivan Scalparato.

According to the Georgian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Maia Tskitishvili, the Anaklia Port Project would allow Georgia to better serve the needs of the Silk Road. The Forum was opened by the Prime Minister.
