U.S. House of Representatives approves resolution against Russia"s return to G7

Committee on Foreign Affairs of U.S. Houses of Representatives unanimously approved a resolution against Russia’s return to the informal club of the seven most economically developed countries in the world, called G7. This was reported by one of the authors of the document, a member of the Democratic Party Albio Sires on his website.

"Resolution No. 546, presented by Congressman Albio Sires, which condemns Russia"s invitation to the forthcoming G7 summits, as long as it does not respect the territorial integrity of its neighbors and adhere to the standards of democratic societies, was unanimously adopted by the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the House of Representatives,” the message states.
The House of Representatives condemns Russia"s aggressive actions in Ukraine in this document, including the illegal occupation of Crimea and the long-term destabilization of eastern Ukraine, the undermining of democracy around the world, including in the United States and other countries.
The author of the document stressed that Russia cannot participate in the G7 summits as long as it continues to disregard international democratic standards. The future participation of the Russian Federation in the G7 club depends on its respect for the territorial integrity of other countries.
