Grigory Karasin, who was Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and became Senator, will continue to participate in negotiations with Georgian Prime Minister"s Special Representative for Relations with Russia Zurab Abashidze, said Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova.
“On the instruction of the Russian authorities, Karasin continues to work in this format. The next, 23rd meeting is expected to take place in Prague in late November. Karasin-Abashidze"s format played an important role in normalizing relations between Moscow and Tbilisi. We do not have official diplomatic relations, but we have humanitarian, technical contacts”, - said Zakharova.
