According to International Republican Institute survey, 78% of the Georgian population, who have heard about the transition to a fully proportional system for parliamentary elections, support this change,

In addition, 78% of respondents believe that transition to a fully proportional system will have a positive impact on Georgia"s democratic development.

68% of those who have heard of this system say they support it, 9% disagree and 13% do not know.
