Officers of Investigative Service of Finance Ministry of Georgia detained two foreign citizens for using 500 Euro fake banknotes.

According to the investigation, the detainees imported and used 20 pieces of 500 Euro fake banknotes in Kvemo Kartli region of Georgia. Police have seized 10 000 Euro worth of counterfeit banknotes.
An investigation is underway under provision II, Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Georgia. The crime envisages imprisonment from 7 to 10 years.
