US Acting Ambassador to Georgia Elizabeth Rood, who was attending the second round of the opposition-Government dialogue, said the meeting was constructive.
“We had a second round of dialogue in a constructive atmosphere, and we agreed that we would meet again to continue the discussion.
With the encouragement of the international participants, the next discussions are expected to focus on how the majoritarian seats in Parliament are filled, and then other things can be discussed as well. We also discussed the importance, in order to maintain a positive atmosphere for the political dialogue to continue, that every person and every group who is going to exercise their right of free expression and assembly . . . do so strictly in accordance with the rule of law and strictly avoiding any violent confrontation”, - said the Ambassador.
