As Kurieri said, Bakur Abuladze, the Chief Inspector General of the Investigation Department, may be appointed to the post of Prosecutor General.

According to the procedure, 3 candidates will be selected by the Minister of Justice after consultations. Members of the Prosecutorial Council will vote for one of them, which will later be voted on by the Parliament.

The vacancy at the Prosecutor General’s Office appeared after Shalva Tadumadze move to Supreme Court.
