Carl Hartsell, the head of the EU delegation to Georgia, commented on the issue of the dialogue between the opposition and the authorities. According to him, the readiness for dialogue from the parties is an important factor.
“The opposition and the authorities agree to continue dialogue, and I welcome it. The main thing is to move forward and find the outcome that can be agreed upon.
It is desirable to adopt an electoral system that aims to depolarize the environment and strengthen confidence.
We are trying to identify those issues where compromise can be reached. This is very important. From the perspective of Brussels and many other European capitals, depolarization is one of the most important issues on our agenda”, - said Carl Harzell.
