Police seize 8,1 kg marijuana in Tbilisi Airport

The customs officers of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia together with the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs seized 8,1 kg marijuana from the baggage of the citizen of South Africa.

According to the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance, the person was detained for illegal purchase-keeping and export of narcotic drugs in especially large amount.

An investigation is in progress under paragraph 6, Article 273 (I) and sub-paragraph a, paragraph IV, Article 262 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
