Four miners reportedly poisoned in Tkibuli shaft

Four miners were poisoned in Tkibuli shaft. The reason reportedly is firedamp accumulated in the ventilation tunnel connecting Mindeli shaft and Dzidziguri Shaft. The incident happened on March 9.

The miners were undergoing treatment in Kutaisi, their health condition is satisfactory and they have already left the clinic.

According to trade union representative Gaga Isakadze, the incident happened in a tunnel. He said that after the Dzidziguri shaft was temporarily closed, miners had to move through the tunnel.

Isakadze added that they had informed the administration that the tunnel should not be used.
