The Holy Synod to discuss coronavirus-related issues at today’s meeting

The Holy Synod will discuss today the issues related to the novel coronavirus outbreak.

It is not yet known whether the church will make any decisions, including on the rite of Holy Communion [which is performed using a “common cup” to share wine among the congregation].

The Holy Synod of the Georgian Orthodox Church will start at 12:00.
