A countrywide curfew has taken effect in Georgia today

A countrywide curfew has taken effect in Georgia today, meaning that citizens will be banned from leaving homes from 9:00 pm to 6:00 am.

“A nationwide quarantine will be declared under the state of emergency and citizens will be banned from moving throughout the country from 9:00 pm to 6:00 am. It means that we are declaring a curfew. The curfew would take effect from 9:00 pm on March 31”, - explain the Prime Minister at special briefing.

The Government of Georgia imposed a quarantine throughout the whole territory of the country yesterday. Under the quarantine, people will be banned from traveling by any public transport, including Metro.
