International partners respond to constitutional amendments and congratulate Georgia.

“Adoption of constitutional amendments by the Parliament of Georgia is a key moment in the promotion of greater political pluralism in the country in view of upcoming elections. Congratulations to all! The EU will continue to stand by Georgia in its further election preparations”, - twitted High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell Fontelles.

Linas Linkevicius, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, also commented on this issue.

“Welcome adoption of long-anticipated electoral reform in #Georgia’s, which would strengthen democracy & parliamentary pluralism. Proportional representation & opening up to further diversity of political opinions is a positive step forward for upcoming elections”, - writes Linkevicius in Twitter.
