Most likely Georgia will be among 15 safe countries that the EU will open the border. Such a statement made today the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.

According to Davit Zalkaliani, the decision of the European Union regarding the opening of the borders will be announced today or tomorrow.

“This is another important achievement and recognition that our Government has in the fight against COVID-19. I am sure that further regulations on the EU border crossing procedures will be taken by the European Union and our decision will be in line.

We are waiting for the official document, which will detail these regulations and it will be based on the principle of reciprocity. Our regulations will also be in full compliance with the EU decision. Today or tomorrow, this decision will be made in Brussels”, - said Davit Zalkaliani.
