Initiating of the amendments elaborated by the Constitutional Commission will be held today at the bureau session. Today, the Parliamentary Chairperson will speak about the amendments to the country`s major law at the press conference.

Representatives of the ruling team once again reiterate the arguments that, as they insist, confirm that the existing version of the Constitution project is valid.

Vice Speaker Gia Volsky says that the main aim of the package of changes was the stability of the state.

"The Venice Commission can not have legal remarks. It may be advice regarding certain issues. The main criterion for us is stability and the interest of the state associated with this stability and this stability should be developed. So I have very strong arguments about the rule of electing the president and I think the position of the majority is right, "said one of the leaders of the Georgian Dream Gia Volsky.
