The Young Lawyers` Association speaks about the need for changes in the procedures for selection of the members of the Council of Justice and the Disciplinary Board.

Non-governmental organization states that the list of candidates in the legislative body is basically formal and it is necessary to improve the procedures.

GYLA has already addressed parliament with a legislative proposal. The lawmakers will discuss the initiative on the procedural committee today.

The proposed amendment introduces the question-answer regime as well as the presentation of own views of the candidates in the selection process.

"Instead of formal compliance, real committee hearings will be held. If we take into consideration our legislative proposals, it will be possible for candidates to present their vision , to hold committee hearings,to attend this hearing and ask questions for interested people , " - Sophie Chareli said.
