Rule on indirect presidential elections will enter into the force immediately after the next president"s swearing. A Chairman of Georgian Parliament made an announcement today.

Irakli Kobakhidze has introduced a draft of the main law to media. As he says, a new rule of presidential elections, abolition of blocks and other changes are based on the best European practice.

"All unanimously admit in the Commission, including those who are protesting against certain regulations, that these amendments are a fundamental progress and provide a very healthy governance system in our country.

In the end, these amendments will enter into force according to the the current edition of the constitution, as soon as next president, who will be elected with direct elections will be inaugurated,"- said Irakli Kobakhidze.
