The public discussion of the draft constitution was completed in Zugdidi. Participants of the meeting responded to the questions of citizens. The rule for electing the president and the issue of electoral system were of special interest for the public .

Due to the active interest in the election of the president , the Chairman of the Parliament, had to make explanations about their arguments many times.

Irakli Kobakhidze said that once and for all the presidential and semi-presidential models should be rejected.

"All the three presidents, some of them were good, some bad, finished their career because of the revolution. In all three cases, the authorities have been replaced by revolution. That`s why we say very clearly, once and for all, we should finally say no to both presidential governance and semi-presidential governance. Both contain a very serious risk of authoritarianism and autocracy. This is a serious problem and we have to renounce it once and change for the most democratic system of governance, "- said Irakli Kobakhidze.
