Parliamentary opposition`s opinions on investigation of attack on Tordia differ

Today, politicians talked about the investigation of the attack on Lasha Tordia, head of the State Audit Office, in Rustavi where a public discussion of constitutional amendments is underway.

Members of the European Georgia are demanding the creation of a special commission in parliament to investigate the incident.

"It is a very sad fact that this incident shows that there is indeed a serious weakness in the rule of law in the country, as this issue concerns a more closely related structure with the Parliament, the Audit Office is, of course, it is much more logical and correct to conduct a parliamentary investigation", - said a member of the European Georgia, Gigi Tsereteli.

Alliance of Patriots have a different opinion. Party members believe that the investigative commission is not required.

"I would expect the results of the investigation and I do not consider it necessary to create an investigative commission in the parliament. Law enforcers conduct investigation and let`s wait for its results, " - said Irma Inashvili.
