Free Trade Agreement signed between Georgia and China

Negotiations between Georgia and China that have been going on for seven months have ended with signing of free trade agreement. The document was signed by the Georgian Economy and Chinese Commerce Ministers in Beijing.

Georgia is the first country in the region with whom China has signed a free trade agreement. After the Free Trade Agreement with China takes effect, the world"s largest market, which unites approximately 1,4 billion customers, will be opened for goods and services of Georgia.

"Georgian producers will have the opportunity to export products on the Chinese market without any additional customs fees,”- said Giorgi Gakharia , the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development.
