Rustavi 2"s case in NDI polls - different assessments in opposition and governing team

Representatives of the opposition and the ruling team have discussed the questions of Rustavi 2 in the survey conducted by the National Democratic Institute. According to the public opinion poll conducted by NDI, 79% of respondents are aware of the developments around Rustavi 2.

 

According to the opposition members, the majority of the surveyed population accurately evaluates the interference with the editorial policy of the broadcasting company and the court"s verdict.

 

Salome Samadashvili, the deputy chairperson of United National Movement faction states that the society was able to get information about Rustavi 2 because the government did not manage to change the editorial policy of the broadcasting company.

 Irakli Abesadze, the secretary of the parliamentary minority, believes that it is a right view that the government was trying to interfere with Rustavi 2"s activities

Zaza Gabunia, a deputy chairperson of the faction Georgian Dream notes that the government has not taken any steps against Rustavi 2.
