In the frames of the Movement Protect the Constitution, the National Movement`s youth wing held a protest rally on Freedom Square. Members of the party protested against the rule of electing of the president and amendments to the electoral system. According to the participants, the package of the proposed amendments to the constitution is not needed by the Georgian population.

"With these amendments today, the Georgian Dream is trying to legitimize informal governance and stop the country`s democratic development," -said Davit Lagvilava, chairman of Saburtalo regional organization of the National Movement.

Bidzina Kherkheulidze, the chairperson of the youth wing of the National Movement says that the constitutional amendments will be given a very strict response from the Georgian society.
