Unmanageable processes in Philharmonic Hall - Verbal Confrontation and Discussion of Constitutional Changes

"I ask the young Communists to honor 2, 500 people," - after this statement of the Speaker of the Parliament the process in Philharmonic Hall became unmanageable. Irakli Kobakhidze responded to the Auditorium 115 and trade union representatives after they demanded more guarantees in the constitution to protect their rights.

After the accusations, the Speaker of the Parliament declared the universal public debate disrupted and left the scene of the Philharmonic Hall. Auditorium 115 members moved to the scene and demanded an apology from Irakli Kobakhidze. There was a verbal confrontation between the crowd in the hall.

Auditorium 115 and the trade unions" actions were assessed as a provocation by the ruling team, but the ruling party`s leaders did not specify who were running the processes in the hall and where from they had information about the pre-planned provocation.

European Georgia today sees several public messages in the failed meeting. The party demands a plebiscite due to differences in opinion on constitutional amendments.
