Audit Service employees address Parliament, President and government

State Audit Service staff has issued a statement. They expressed their concern about the recent developments around their institution. They expressed their full support to the Auditor General. According to them, this attack on the Auditor General equals to attack on the staff of the organization and its professional activity.

Audit Service staff addresses the Parliament, the President, the government, civil society, international and local organizations to support the guarantees of their independence,

"We are highly offended by the recent allegations of being biased in conducting the audit. We want to make known to the public that each of the prepared audit report is based on international standards.

"In order for the State Audit Office auditors not to have a sense of insecurity in performing professional activity, we ask the Parliament, the President, the government, civil society, international and local organizations to support us in receiving guarantees for the independence of the State Audit Service.

"We want to reaffirm our unanimity in being committed to the high professional standards of loyalty, independence, impartiality and to prevent any interference in our professional activities," the statement reads.
