Prosecutor`s Office may initiate investigation into the compensation of a million GEL transferred to Judge Nazdaidze`s family. The investigative agency has already been addressed with this request by the civil sector. The Georgian Young Lawyers` Association (GYLA) handed over all documents to the Prosecutor"s Office, according to which NGOs focus on possible crime.

The opposition of Tbilisi City Council filed a statement at the Prosecutor`s Office before GYLA but received no response to it.

The Mayor of Tbilisi, Davit Narmania does not see the need to start investigation. He is convinced that the decision of the City Hall to transfer millions of assets to the brother of the Rustavi 2 case judge was only an assistance of the damaged citizen.

Unlike the Prosecutor`s Office, the case proceedings have already been initiated by the City Court. In this case the court will discuss the united lawsuit of the City Council. Opposition will raise a petition at the sitting in the nearest future and demand the interrogation of Davit Narmania.

Whether the investigation of the judge`s family scandal will start soon, is unknown. The statement was not made in the Chief Prosecutor`s Office. About a month ago, the chief prosecutor claimed that the investigative department was investigating the case materials.
