Events dedicated to Georgia"s Independence Day are being held on the Freedom Square. The main topic of the year is Shota Rustaveli and " The Knight in the Panther"s Skin ." The ceremony began on the Freedom Square, where more than 300 recruits took an oath.

The President, the Prime Minister and the Defense Minister will congratulate the population and the armed forces on the Independence Day. Military equipment will be exhibited as well.

Various events are planned to be held on Freedom Square and Rustaveli Avenue from the morning. Copies of Rustaveli portraits and illustrations of "The Knight in the Panther"s Skin " will be exhibited.
