Majority members refrain from nominating a candidate for mayor.

Mamuka Mdinaradze, chairperson of the faction of the Georgian Dream coalition, said that discussions regarding self-governance elections will start in the ruling party in the nearest future.

"Of course, imany candidacies are being considered. I am sure that the best will be chosen. So far there is no discussion in this regard, so I can not tell you about differing opinions, "- Mamuka Mdinaradze said.

The leaders of the majority did not specify whether Irakli Gharibashvili would be one of Tbilisi`s mayoral candidates.

"I can not confirm this, many candidates will be considered and I do not categorically exclude anyone. However, I have not yet heard about Irakli"s wish, "- Mamuka Mdinaradze says.
