Azerbaijani journalist Afgan Mukhtari was sentenced by the Baku Court to a three-month pre-trial detention. The defense  was demanding his release on bail, but the court did not satisfy this demand.

Investigation into the journalist`s case in Azerbaijan began on the accusation of the illegal crossing of the border andsmuggling.

Azerbaijani journalist Afgan Mukhtarli disappeared from Tbilisi yesterday. At the end of the day it turned out that he was on the territory of Azerbaijan and was detained by the law enforcers. MIA started investigation into the incident.
