Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan lost consciousness during the prayer at the mosque. The president fainted in Istanbul mosque, where he came to attend the morning prayer. The emergency brigade was mobilized at the site and the mosque was temporarily closed.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan later commented to the journalists and noted that he was suffering from diabetes, which caused problems related to arterial pressure. Erdogan said he felt good and continued to work according to the plan.
