Tbilisi mayoral candidate Zaliko Udumashvili starts pre-election campaign. He was officially nominated by the United National Movement today, but it is noteworthy that he is not a former anchor of the "Courier" news program.

Zaliko Udumashvili addressed the public from the yard of the Metekhi Church and said that he was "the mayoral candidate for the angry Tbilisi residents." He said that the capital has been facing numerous problems over the last few years and he was ready to overcome corruption and nepotism in the City Hall.

Udumashvili promised to the population to resume suspended projects, eliminate the unreasonable expenditure of the budget, pay special attention to infrastructure and ecology and defeat oligarchic regimes.

"National Movement" has presented another novelty to the society today. MP Nika Melia leaves parliament to run for the post of chairman of Tbilisi Sakrebulo.

The United National Movement will present the list of candidates and majoritarian MP candidates in the nearest future.
