The parliamentary majority responds to the announcement of the date of self-government elections by the President of Georgia. Mamuka Mdinaradze, the chairperson of Georgian Dream faction says that consultations were held between Giorgi Margvelashvili and the governmental administration.

However, according to Mr. Mdinaradze, the president satisfied the opposition"s demand and appointed elections at the end of the third week of October.

"As far as I know, the date was consulted with the administration of the government, it seems that the president took the ipposition"s opinion into account . I think the date of elections does not ,matter.
There should not be expectations about the use of administrative resources. There are no such threats, "- said Mamuka Mdinaradze.
