Before kidnapping of Afgan Mukhtarli Georgia was considered as beacon of democracy - leader of the Azeri opposition

Azerbaijani opposition leader is in Tbilisi. The chairperson of the party "Mussavat" arrived in Tbilisi to talk with the Vice President of the "ALDE" and the Georgian opposition regarding Apgan Mukhtarli case.

Azeri law enforcers interrogated Arif Hajjil a few days ago on the case o fAfgan Mukhtarli.

"I was asked questions about Afgan Mukhtarli case in Azerbaijan. He was arrested for crossing the border, but in fact I was asked what relationship I had with him as a politician. This is not an investigation, it is an imitation of the investigation in Azerbaijan, as well as in Georgia. I came here to meet opposition parties. Muktarli case was the topic of the meeting with the Vice President of "ALDE". I want to tell you that before Afgan`s kidnapping Georgia was considered in Azerbaijan as a beacon of democracy and people came here because they thought there was more freedom here. Azerbaijan does not think so after Mukhtarli case. I think that the Georgian government should think about the image of the country, " - said Arif Hajil.
