"Georgian Dream" must be punished - Non-parliamentary opposition will meet with Venice Commission President

Non-parliamentary opposition will inform the president of the Venice Commission Gianni Buquicchio about their own complaints regarding constitutional amendments.

Members of the Inter-Party Group said that at the meeting with Buquicchio, they will focus on the decision taken by the ruling team to have mixed parliamentary elections in 2020.

Non-parliamentary opposition leaders speak about the necessity of international pressure and say that the ruling team voted for a different project of constitutional amendments in two hearings.

"It is very important to be very detailed and specifical while informing the Venice Commission about what kind of lies the government has said. How they cheated the whole world, including Europe and, first of all, the Venice Commission when promising to move to the proportional system. Specifically, we will talk about how the Georgian Dream should be punished by the conclusions of European and international organizations, "- said Giorgi Akhvlediani, a member of the Democratic Movement - United Georgia.
