Amendments to the Law on Lawyers - Discussion will continue in Kobuleti today

Discussion of amendments to the law on "lawyers" will continue today in Kobuleti. Members of the Legal Issues Committee and the Georgian Bar Association will discuss the issue at the session held in Kobuleti.
The amendments to the Law on Lawyers include the prohibition of issuing the information without the client`s confirmation, the introduction of the qualification exams for the lawyers and the beginning of disciplinary persecution against them.

The three-day meeting is being held with financial support of the US Agency for International Development.

"We are convinced that such a form will be found in the amendments to the law, which will be acceptable for both the law and the parliament," said Davit Matikashvili.
