The date of self-government elections is known. By the decision of the President of Georgia, the elections will be held on October 21, 2017.

The President"s decision has already been accepted by the Prime Minister of Georgia. The command has been signed.

From now on, the pre-election campaign is officially launched in Georgia. The leaders of United National Movement state that the election date does not have a decisive importance because the government will use the administrative resources in the election campaign.

"The announcement of the election date means that the government will become more active by using illegal actions," Tinatin Bokuchava said.

Members of "European Georgia" also speak about misuse of the budget funds.

"The concrete date of elections does not matter, unfortunately, on the one hand we see the Georgian Dream"s attempts and the steps to abuse the budget," said Irakli Abesadze.

The Parliamentary majority claims that the two-month period is sufficient for the election campaign .
