"We need very intensive work with heavy equipment," - said Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili about the situation in the Borjomi Gorge.
The Prime Minister noted that due to the wheather conditions the expectation of the morning in connection with extinguishing the fire,was not justified.
Giorgi Kvirikashvili also emphasized that there is no danger of fire spreading to the settlements at this stage.
"At this moment the situation is under control, there is no danger to the population. We strive to continue working with heavy equipment during the night to get ready for the morning and continue with the aviation in the morning. Also, we have purchased new equipment for rescuers , "- said Giorgi Kvirikashvili.
The Prime Minister noted that heavy equipment will work in the disaster zone during the night.
