Once again such constitution was adopted that will be replaced by the next government - Tinatin Khidasheli

Giorgi Margvelashvili presented the document developed jointly by the NGO sector, the President and the opposition. The five requirements set up by the opposition have already been sent to the Venice Commission and the ruling team.

The civil sector estimates that the ruling team is unilaterally adapting the main law of the country in its own interests. However, the part of the NGOs indicates that the joint document of the opposition and the president leaves the impression of the legislative
unfinished product, but the international law specialist David Jandieri welcomes the initiative of the president because some kind of the document must be drawn up.

Director of Liberal Academy Tbilisi, Lasha Tugushi thinks that the president and the opposition members forgot to note such an important issue in the document as human rights. At the same time, he says that the majority`s behaviour in the process of constitutional changes.is inadmissible.

Executive director of the NGO "Transparency International Georgia" Eka Gigauri believes that in order to reach a consensus between the parties, the less questions should be considered.

Former Defense Minister Tinatin Khidasheli thinks that there is no prospect
for constitutional amendment`s document adopted by the president and 20 opposition parties because the majority considers compromise to be a weakness.

"The process, of course, was absolutely incorrect, but just as always in Georgia. The worst thing is that in the 26th year of independence, Georgia is still adopting a constitution that will be replaced by the next government, "Tinatin Khidasheli said.
