The prosecutor`s office will appeal against the decision of the first instance court on the case of Archpriest Giorgi Mamaladze at the Court of Appeals today. It is about the the qualification of the case.

The Prosecutor`s Office accuses Archpriest of attempting to commit crime for getting personal benefits but the City Court has replaced the motivation of the case with revenge and instead sentenced Giorgi Mamaladze to 9 years imprisonment instead of 16 years of imprisonment.

The prosecutor`s office says that the decision of the judge on the motives of the planned  crime is unacceptable.
