Ilia State University students, who protested the lecturers" dismissal from the institute, are meeting with the rector of the University at this moment.

The students protest the decision to terminate contracts with some of professors from the new semester. They demand to recover the lecturers on their positions. According to them, artificial process is being held at Ilia University. They say that the process was conducted "unfair" because the lecturers have not been warned about their dismissal.

According to the students, Niko Pataraia, the Dean of the Business School of the Ilia State University manages the process .

Reportedly, reason of lecturers" dismissal is the fact of their appointment at academic positions in other universities.
