Floods, landslides, flooded homes - natural disaster in Western Georgia

Bad weather and heavy rain caused a landslide in several villages of Kobuleti municipality. Residents have left homes for security because they fear that buildings can be destroyed.

The landslides have not yet been studied by geologists.

There are delays in power supply to several villages in the region.

As for Guria, the flooded river has washed away the equipment brought for reinforcing the bridge over river. Several settlements and roads are paralyzed.

The disaster has damaged most of Ozurgeti. The Ozurgeti-Chokhatauri road was flooded. The water flooded the houses. The locals say that despite their request the rescue service has not come to the place.
The disaster is raging on the Black Sea, in the marine waters of Georgia.
