Belgian law enforcement officers investigate an explosion in Antwerp. The explosion occurred in one of the residential houses in the city centre. The building is destroyed.

Nearby houses are significantly damaged. More than 20 people are injured, Police said two bodies were found under the debris.

The investigation works on several versions. According to the preliminary version, the explosion took place at the Italian restaurant on the first floor of the building. Belgian media said it was likely to have been a gas explosion.
