Saba Samushia, accused of stabbing three people at a restaurant near Heroes’ Square in Tbilisi, was sentenced to pre-trial imprisonment as a preventive measure by the Tbilisi City Court.
The judge made a decision a few minutes ago.
Saba Samushia said that about 80 people participated in the fighting in the restaurant. According to the defense, two knifes were used in the fighting

"We do not know who wounded and how many were wounded, but in order to defend himself, he was swinging the knife, he admits it. There are two knives in the case , "- said Irma Shalamberidze, a lawyer.

The prosecution also claims that the second knife has been removed but it does not have traces of blood.

Saba Samushia stands accused according to three articles of Georgia’s Criminal Code including intentional damage to health and hooliganism .
