The Kiev Court of Appeals will resume hearing on the legitimacy of the staying of the third president of Georgia in Ukraine. The defense side requests to grant the status of a person with additional protection to Mikheil Saakashvili

"Today"s trial is one of the most important, because if the court decides that Mikheil Saakashvili does not need additional protection in the territory of Ukraine, it may enable the prosecutor"s office and the Ministry of Justice and these agencies to start extradition process," -said Pavel Bogomazov, a lawyer.

The court ordered the State Immigration Service to present the materials based on which the request to receive the status of a refugee was rejected.

Mikheil Saakashvili"s case against immigration service will start at 10 am local time.
