Shortly before the arrest of Mikheil Saakashvili, Petro Poroshenko made a statement about his possible expulsion from the country in an interview with the Austrian newspaper.

According to the President of Ukraine Mikheil Saakashvili is not a citizen of Ukraine and has no right for political activity in the country.

According to Poroshenko, Saakashvili has violated the Ukrainian law and the immigration and border security service should work on this issue.
