Davit Dvali and Jarji Akimidze accuse the Prosecutor"s Office of artificially delaying the investigation into the case of "Rustavi 2" . The former owners of the broadcasting company say that the Ministry has granted them the status of victims in 2015 and handed over the case materials, but they have not yet charged anyone.
According to Dvali and Akimidze, the case limitation period expires within several months and appeal to the Prosecutor"s Office to reveal those individuals, who forcibly made them concede their shares. The former owners accuse the Minister of Justice as well.
Davit Dvali says that the questions sent to the Ministry of Justice have been published on the Ministry"s website but in the Georgian version the question about Rustavi 2"s founders has been removed. Davit Dvali also appeals to the Public Defender.
"I would like to ask the Public Defender, we face the same situation as 15 years ago - the government deprives us of the right to protect our rights," said Davit Dvali.
According to lawyer Soso Baratashvili, it is a political decision, otherwise, it is unclear why none of the individuals named in this case are detained.
