"Prime Minister"s statements threaten Georgia"s national interests" - Opposition has adopted a joint statement

Parliamentary and non-parliamentary political parties address the country"s government with a joint statement. They gathered for consultations once again today. According to the opposition, the letter sent by the Prime Minister to the Russian authorities and recent developments pose a serious threat to Georgia"s foreign policy.

Opposition members summon the Prime Minister to the parliament. They demand to set up a special format regarding the Geneva talks, according to which the government will be obliged to submit information to the opposition both before and after the negotiations.

"The Prime Minister"s statements threaten Georgia"s national interests and significantly weaknesses our country in relation to Russian Federation," reads the statement released by 12 parties.

The opposition states that the Prime minister has to answer questions of the parliament and demands to create a resolution against the Russian Federation which will include the so-called Otkhozoria-Tatunashvili"s list.

"We demand to adopt the Otkhozoria-Tatunashvili list and I am grateful to the opposition parties that they have joined the initiative of" European Georgia "that ," said Sergi Kapanadze, member of "European Georgia".

The Republican Party says that this is not only George Kvirikashvili"s statement but the position and approach of the entire government.

The Labor Party says that Russian politics is behind Kvirikashvili"s statement.
