Special operations forces have a new commander. Colonel Dimitri Kiknadze replaced LTC Teimuraz Klateishvili.

Levan Izoria thanked the former chief of the Special Operations Forces for the rendered service and revealed that the subdivision is planned to be reorganized with the regional principle.

The Defense Minister and the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces have been awarded with the Medal of Special Operations Forces.
