The EU will allocate 45 million euros to Georgia

The EU Council approved the decision to allocate € 45 million to Georgia.
The assistance will help cover Georgia"s financing needs, supporting economic stabilisation and its agenda for structural reforms.

The statement posted on the Council of Europe also notes that granting assistance will be conditional on Georgia respecting democratic mechanisms and the rule of law, and guaranteeing respect for human rights. Fulfilment of these conditions is monitored by the Commission and the European External Action Service.
Conditions also include structural reforms, the terms of which are fulfilled in the memorandum of the Government of Georgia and the European Commission.
