A 38-year-old man was wounded in Zugdidi. He is an employee of Tsalenjikha Water Company.

According to eyewitnesses, the man was wounded by a stranger who asked the victim to stop the car and then struck him three times with a knife in the chest. The locals say that the man was bleeding and asked for help.

The wounded was taken to Zugdidi referral hospital.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched an investigation on the incident.

Whether the law enforcers have detained the perpetrator or not, is unknown.
